Solarific

Solar panel data for any city

Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy explains what information Solarific collects when you visit solarific.co, why we collect it, and the choices you have under UK data protection law — the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Who we are

Solarific is a free reference site providing solar panel angle and tilt data for cities around the world. For any privacy question, or to exercise your data rights, contact us at hello@solarific.co.

What we collect

We do not have user accounts and we do not ask you to fill in any forms, so we do not collect your name, email address, or any information you type. What we do collect is anonymous, aggregated usage data through analytics tools, including:

Analytics providers may use your IP address to estimate location, but we do not store it in a form that identifies you, and we do not try to identify individual visitors.

Cookies we use

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them only for analytics — to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain links to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Solarific may earn a commission from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. When you follow one of these links, Amazon — not Solarific — controls any data collected on their site, under Amazon's own privacy policy.

Where your data goes

The analytics data described above is processed by our providers, Google and Mixpanel, who act as our data processors. These providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on their own safeguards (such as the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses). We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we hold only anonymous analytics data and cannot link it to you, we usually cannot identify your records individually — but if you have a question or request, email hello@solarific.co and we will help. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
